Meanings of “capital” in Japan? 資本金とは?

Capital is a fixed amount set based on the amount which the investor paid to the company.

Even if the capital is 1 yen, the company can be established.
However, there are problems with credit from banks and business partners.

There is no standard, but from my point of view, 3 million yen is common.

As a visa requirement, if a foreigner does not employ two or more employees
when acquiring a business management visa, the visa holder has to invest
5 million yen or more.
